There were seven bags of gravel still to do on Tarn Shelf and we
managed to spread four and a half of them.
At several of the spots some of the existing rocks were manoeuvred to either
be edge rocks or to be placed as stepping stones. It often brought about quite a transformation
of track environment; we think much to the better, and hope that over time the
degraded spots will recover.
There remains two and a half bags, so next time it should be a less
energetic day and allow more time just to enjoy this wonderful place.
