Bridging the Gap

The new bridge over Lady Barron Creek is well underway and should be completed very soon.  Our original bridge built from a grant given by Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife was washed away in the floods of July 2016.

It is one of those ironies of circumstances that by losing the bridge allowed a higher quality replacement one from an insurance claim.   The original design was rock and gravel over 4 large pipes, whilst the new one is a high-level steel and wood structure.  The pipes have been removed and that will allow better water flow by reducing the chance of debris build-up near the bridge.
