Tyenna River Plantings

Saturday 17 May 2014
Unfortunately the conditions in the alpine zone were quite rainy, but after lighting a fire in one of the picnic huts for an extended morning tea the rain stopped a visitor centre area.  Initially we cleared broom and other weeds from the plantings on the bank of the Tyenna River  then moved on to remove guards from plants further up on Tyenna River site.  These plants were put in in June & July  2013 and have grown exceptionally well with most now quite high with little sign of animal browsing.  Guards were left on the smaller plants.
