Fenton to Webster Track
Saturday 21 December 2013
Work on hardening two sections of the track beside Lake Fenton, started in January 2013, was recommenced. Both bits are not far apart and after collecting rock for the first one we then moved on to the other. Much of the laying of the rock was carried out by Greg K and Shirley.

Others cleared back vegetation along the last third of the track beside the lake.
We finished for the day at 1PM and drove down to the visitor area for a BBQ lunch, provided by PWS. Whilst driving down we did wonder why no cars were seen coming up the road. The reason became obvious when we reached a tree that had fallen and blocked the road. Parks staff were already there clearing the tree, which made quite a dent in the road, and we were soon on our way again.
The day was delightful as it was sunny and calm, but only a mild temperature, the birds were lovely in song and the Waratah were beaut.
