Dobson to Webster Track Maintenance
Saturday 15 September 2012
After several windy and indifferent days the weather was superb for this working bee. The sky was clear and it was calm and warmed up quite a bit during the day. Although there was no snow at Lake Dobson there was some on the way to the track to Lake Webster. The first boardwalk needing attention was some 2 kilometres from the start, bur even there we had to scrape the snow away to lay the wire.
The wire goes down quickly with all the helpers

Most of the vegetation clearing was down the track from there for some 600 metres. There were some thicker sections with scrub growing in, which was more than we had expected. The more overgrowing parts of the track are closer to Lake Webster and will be tackled on future working bees.
