Visitor Centre Rehabilitation Area

Saturday 21 August 2010

The temporary fence to protect the revegetation area at the park entrance was partly dismantled.  The wire to create a curve at the top of the fence proved hard to remove and with grass and weeds entangled in the base also proved  a handicap.  The work was not able to be finished and will be dealt with a the September working bee.  Wire and some netting has been left near the entrance to the house at the site.
Blackberry and other weeds, including some Erica and Briar, were removed by digging out where possible and with Glyphosate herbicide.  Again not all could be done in the time and due to  some still at the base of the fencing wire, but will be worked on next time.
